Effects of “S”-Type Bowed Guide Vanes on Unsteady Flow in 1.5-Stage Axial Compressors

In axial compressors, the unsteady flow caused by interaction between dynamic and static cascades will make moving vanes subject to periodic forces increase risk of high-cycle fatigue fractures. this study, an “S”-type bowed guide vane was designed a 1.5-stage compressor model established. For five with different bending coefficients, numerical simulation carried out under design conditions near-blockage conditions. The influence coefficient on pressure ratio efficiency is analyzed, aerodynamic exciting force analyzed using fast Fourier transform. study shows that can greatly reduce amplitude vanes. −10 mm tangential amplitudes at first-order blade-passing frequency 90.82% 90.39% conditions, respectively. Under condition, be reduced 85.84% 86.58%, This improve vibration safety vane.
